A 1-day workshop is designed primarily for those staff that are new to UCAS reference writing or advising students about their personal statements, but may also be of value to those who have some previous experience. We will deal with the application cycle from initial preparation to UCAS deadlines and the internal structures necessary to support the process.

There will be consideration of how the reference and personal statements are interpreted by admissions tutors and examples from recent years will be shared. Practical exercises will help to view the application from the university process.
